"We are tired, but very excited. After a tough start, it has mostly been plain sailing for the last 24 hours. Here in Australia people are incredibly nice so it's great for us to be here. Unfortunately we can not stay long; USA and L.A. awaits Hollywood, baby! YouTube-phenomenon Per Fredrik "PelleK" Åsly smiles.

Touching down on the 3. continent (of 6), the # RecordRunWorld gang is on track to smash the current world-record of around the globe in 63 hours. If all goes according to plan, the crew will reach the west coast of the United States on Thursday afternoon (CET).

Travel leader Gunnar Garfors is cautious optimist: - We have spent most of our "sparetime" on the first part of the journey, and are entirely dependent on avoiding queues, delays, bad weather and other unforeseen obstacles to beat the record, Garfors admits.

Sponsor of the record attempt, the bettingcompany ComeOn!, are maintaining the odds of 1.65 for a new world record.

"What's happening in the United States is absolutely crucial for how likely it is to manage 6 continents in 63 hours. The odds can quickly change after departure from L.A., says ComeOn spokesperson! In Norway, Stian Røsvik Bjørstad.
